The Pound House

The Pound House is a snug and characterful 17th century cob barn opening onto terrace and sheltered lawn. It was fully renovated in 2003 and the upstairs refurbished in 2023.

You may be given a room in the Pound House when you book on one of our programme events. For our own events we normally cook and serve meals here too. The Pound House can be hired for group bookings.

Upstairs: Five twin bedrooms, each with 3' beds, bedside cabinet, table and chair, armchair. One small single en-suite. 4 have wet rooms, one a shower cubicle, one a bath with shower over. 

Dining Room: Long room opening onto terrace with folding/stacking furniture suitable for eating, meeting or activities. Ideal 25 - 40 people.

Cider Press: Sofas and comfortable chairs make cosy meeting space for up to about 10 - 15 people.

Quiet Room: Smallest room, seats about 6 people in comfy chairs.

Kitchen: Our largest kitchen with 3 electric ovens, 8 boiling plates, freezer, 2 fridges, microwave, dishwasher. Equipped to feed 40 people, sometimes more.

Facilities: 3 toilets and one shower downstairs.
